Pod claim to fame:
Winning the Pod championship in season 3 with the Scorpions.
Coming second in the Pod Rave behind my team-mate FRANKPAL<S (thanx to my team mates for that one, and StLarry 2 ;)
Getting to the semi-final of POD World Cup 1 going out to the eventual winners Canada, but to race with Murray and VinceF was great fun and I'll never forget it.
Captaining the UK in the 2nd World Cup and getting oh so close only to fall at the hands of Canada once again :)

POD related claim to fame: Being the only simultaneous champion in Team POD and Team Motorhead with the Scorpions (POD) and with Mad Dogs and Englishmen (MotorHead), albeit in a periphery role in MH :) .. damn the MD&E squad was totally awe inspiring though. (Leadbest, Blackwolf, Ricochet, Casper, Sig, Murray, Mother, Whip, Devestator, and I'm sure I've forgotten some)

About me: Still young and single enjoying the cosmopolitan nightlife in and around Dublin ;) ... recently got my first car which I haven't managed to crash yet (working on it though, hehe) , I work as a computer programmer for an American company called Banctec (from Dallas, Texas) responsible for delivering Y2K and Euro compatible systems for Bank Of Ireland :) well, it pays the telephone bill ;)
If any of ya are ever visiting Dublin on a holiday then be sure to give me a shout (on email or Podnet) ... might even have a spare room for ya if you're lucky :) which in Dublin is like a hen's tooth :)

POD Team Memberships:

Scorpions Not an original member of the Scorpions but have been the leader basically since I first joined. They are the only club team I've ever been with and I have "matured" into a good racer with these guys alongside me. We've enjoyed the highs of being season 3 champions beating the Black Knights in the final (4-1), and suffered the lows of throwing away a 3 match lead against the eventual season 4 champion Infectous Keepers (to lose the semi 4-3 .. boy that hurt big time)

Also not to forget I was a member of the U.K. team in the first POD World Cup (my competitive debut, first race - Burrow vs USA-1, placed 5th although they say I was booted ;) eventually getting to the semi-final and losing it to Canada in the final race 3-2 by virtue of the fact that they owned the race winner in an 18-18 dead-heat on Babelweb (I will never experience anything like that meet ever again, it was unbearable tension in the final race and to be on a track like Babel I can only say didn't help :) Phyre, why'd you have to overtake Vince :), but we did get a famous (well, famous to us ;) 1,2,3 against them on Iceberg which was sweeeeet :) (VinceF, Murray and myself if I remember correctly although maybe Murray won it !)

I was then the U.K. Captain in the second POD World Cup (still in that competition as I write this but still decided to write it in past-tense :)
